May 26 – Suffolk University reported a data breach after the company was targeted in a recent cybersecurity attack. As a result of the breach, the names and Social Security numbers of certain students were compromised. The Suffolk University data breach is believed to have impacted as many as 53,016 individuals.

According to the Maine Attorney General, Suffolk University reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On May 24, 2023, Suffolk University sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
