According to the Attorney General of Massachusetts, the Valley Oaks Health data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The company recently learned that an unauthorized party may have gained access to its computer network prompting them to launch an investigation. It was confirmed that an unauthorized user was able to access portions of Valley Health’s computer network between June 8, 2023 and June 13, 2023. The investigation also determined that certain patient information was subject to unauthorized access. On March 18, 2024, Valley Oaks Health sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
Valley Oaks Health is a healthcare provider based out of Lafayette, Indiana that provides mental health and addiction treatment 
services to nine Indiana counties. They also provide these counties with primary care services as well. Valley Oaks operates a dozen locations including Crawfordsville, Delphi, Attica, Lafayette, and Monticello.
