June 23 – The (Vincera Institute + any acronym [Vincera Institute aka “XYZ”]) data breach is being investigated by the data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C. The data breach was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cybersecurity attack. The Vincera Institute data breach resulted in the names, Social Security numbers, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, dates of birth, medical history and treatment records, insurance information, as well as any other information provided to the Vincera Institute of certain individuals being compromised. It is believed to have impacted as many as 25,000 individuals.
According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights (“HHS-OCR”) and a press release by the company, Vincera Institute reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent ransomware attack. Vincera learned about an April 29, 2023 ransomware attack that targeted the company’s IT network allowing an unauthorized party to gain access to confidential data. On June 20, 2023, Vincera Institute sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach. The Vincera data breach is listed under four entity names on the HHS-OCR data breach portal: Vincera Imaging, LLC, Vincera Rehab, LLC, Vincera Surgery, LLC, and Core Performance Physicians d/b/a Vincera Core Physicians.
