Washington University in St. Louis Student Wins Scholarship

Nj Personal Injury Attorney

Congratulations to Emily Brewster on being awarded the 2017 Console & Associates P.C. Legal Scholarship!

After receiving more than 150 applications from well-qualified students across the country, the law firm of Console & Associates P.C. has selected a winner to receive our Legal Scholarship: Emily Brewster of Matteson, Illinois.

A Winning Ambition

Life wasn’t easy when Emily Rae Brewster was growing up in South Chicago. In an environment full of gun violence and poverty, many people would have focused on mere survival. Fortunately, Brewster’s father wanted better for her. He encouraged her to break the cycle of poverty and to strive to make the world, and the community, a better place.

Her father’s encouragement fueled Brewster’s ambition. She worked hard to seize the opportunities that would give her the chance to fulfill those dreams. Starting in childhood, Brewster studied abroad in places as far away as the United Kingdom, Japan, and Australia. She studied nearly half a dozen different languages and cultures.

Today, Brewster is a student at the Washington University in St. Louis School of Law. The 24-year-old is well on her way to earning her Juris Doctor degree. Once she does, the plans to use her legal education and the knowledge she has gained while studying across the world to work as a social advocate in her community.

The Console & Associates P.C. Legal Scholarship

Since 2013, Console & Associates P.C. has sponsored a Legal Scholarship to help aspiring legal professionals overcome the financial hurdles to getting a legal education. The $1,000 scholarship is awarded to a student with a 3.0 or higher GPA pursuing a legal education. Students working toward a Juris Doctor degree or a major in pre-law, paralegal studies, legal assisting, and related fields are eligible to apply.

Our firm would like to congratulate Emily Brewster on winning the scholarship. We wish her well in all of her future endeavors. Students who would like to apply for the 2018 Legal Scholarship should click here to learn more about the requirements and application process.
