July 1 – The Wealth Enhancement Group data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Wealth Enhancement Group data breach resulted in the full names, Social Security numbers, addresses, dates of birth, phone numbers, email addresses, driver’s license numbers, state identification numbers, and financial account numbers of certain individuals being compromised. At this time, it is unclear how many individuals were affected.
According to the Attorney General of Montana, Wealth Enhancement Group reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The company recently learned that an unauthorized party was able to gain access to a standalone server in one of the company’s advisor team offices. As a result, the Wealth Enhancement Group launched an investigation and determined the hacker was able to access confidential information. On June 28, 2023, Wealth Enhancement Group sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
