Data Breach AlertJuly 14 – The Webster University data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was affected by a recent cyber security attack at National Student Clearinghouse (“NSC”) and Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association (“TIAA”). The Webster University data breach resulted in the personal information belonging to students and employees being compromised.

What Happened As A Result Of The Webster University Data Breach?

According to a notice posted on their website, Webster University reported a data breach after they were affected by a recent cyber security attack at National Student Clearinghouse (“NSC”) and Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association (“TIAA”). Both NSC and TIAA informed Webster University that personal information belonging to certain employees and students may have been leaked. Although TIAA reported the incident to Webster University, the incident was the result of TIAA’s contracts services from a vendor using MOVEit, which is how that incident occurred. The notice provided by Webster University does not provide any details about how the NSC breach occurred other than explaining that it involved MOVEit. Data breach letters will be sent out to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
