What Happened?

According to the Attorney General of Maine, the Yakima Valley Radiology data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On August 18, 2023, Yakima discovered that an unauthorized party had gained access to its computer network prompting them to secure their systems and launch an investigation. It was confirmed that an unauthorized actor was able to access an employee email account and access confidential patient information. On March 1, 2024, Yakima Valley Radiology sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
