What Happened?

According to a website notice and multiple news sources, the Ascension data breach was disclosed after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On May 8, 2024, the company detected unusual activity within its IT network. Ascension launched an investigation that is still ongoing however, some of its systems were disrupted. This includes a disruption to the company’s clinical operations however, there is no timeline for when it expects these services to regain functionality. Ascension will need to send out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
