May 2 – The data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C. are investigating the Panda Group, Inc. and its affiliates, Panda Inn, Panda Express, and Hibachi-San (“Panda Express”) data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Panda Express data breach resulted in the sensitive information of certain individuals being compromised.
According to the Attorney General of Maine, the Panda Express data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On March 10, 2024, the company detected suspicious activity within its computer system prompting an investigation. It was confirmed that an unauthorized party had gained access to portions of its IT network between March 7, 2024 and March 11, 2024, including files containing confidential consumer information. On April 30, 2024, Panda Express sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
