What Happened?

According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights, the Designed Receivable Solutions data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent “hacking IT incident” attack.

The company has not yet released the details of the in-house DRS data breach investigation, or provided a list of the healthcare facilities among its partners. That said, the company has stated that the data breach affected a total of 129,584 patients. This information reached the public on March 23, 2024, with an announcement that DRS had begun sending data breach letters to the victims.
