April 3 – The data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C. are investigating the Prudential Financial data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Prudential Financial data breach resulted in the sensitive information of certain individuals being compromised.

What Happened?

According to the Attorney General of Montana, the Prudential Financial data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On February 5, 2024, the company identified suspicious activity within its computer network prompting them to secure their systems and launch an investigation. It was confirmed that an unauthorized party had been able to access certain folders containing confidential information belonging to employees and customers on February 4, 2024. It was also determined that the unauthorized party removed some of this sensitive information. On March 29, 2024, Prudential Financial sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
