On February 5, 2024, the company identified suspicious activity within its computer network prompting them to secure their systems and launch an investigation. It was confirmed that an unauthorized party had been able to access certain folders containing confidential information belonging to employees and customers on February 4, 2024. On March 29, 2024, Prudential Financial sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
