April 26 – The data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C. are investigating the Berry, Dunn, McNeil & Parker data breach that was reported after the company was affected by a recent cyber security attack at Reliable Networks of Maine. It is believed to have impacted as many as 1,107,354 individuals. The Berry, Dunn, McNeil & Parker data breach resulted in the sensitive information of certain individuals being compromised.
According to the Attorney General of Maine, the Berry, Dunn, McNeil & Parker data breach was reported after they were affected by a recent cyber security attack at Reliable Networks of Maine. BerryDunn’s Health Analytics Practice Group (“HAPG”) uses Reliable Networks of Maine, LLC. as a managed service provider. On September 14, 2023, BerryDunn was notified that Reliable had detected suspicious activity within its IT network prompting an investigation.
It was confirmed that an unauthorized party was able to access Reliable’s network and was able to remove certain data from HAPG’s systems. On April 25, 2024, Berry, Dunn, McNeil & Parker sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
