April 19 – The data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C. are investigating the SysInformation Healthcare Services, LLC d/b/a EqualizeRCM and 1st Credentialing data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The EqualizeRCM and 1st Credentialing data breach resulted in the below information of certain individuals being compromised:

  • names,
  • Social Security numbers,
  • government identification numbers,
  • dates of birth,
  • driver’s license numbers,
  • electronic signatures,
  • financial account information,
  • health insurance information,
  • medical information,
  • mother’s maiden names,

What Happened?

According to the Attorney General of Montana, the EqualizeRCM and 1st Credentialing data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The company detected unusual activity within its computer network in June 2023 prompting them to secure their systems and launch an investigation. It was confirmed that an unauthorized party accessed its IT network between June 3, 2023 and June 18, 2023. On April 17, 2024, EqualizeRCM and 1st Credentialing sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
