The Frontier Communications data breach resulted in the sensitive information of certain individuals being compromised.
According to the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Frontier Communications data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On April 14, 2024, the company detected that an unauthorized party was able to access its IT network. Frontier contained the incident and launched an investigation that is still ongoing. In the SEC filing, it was noted that the unauthorized party “gained access to, among other information, personally identifiable information” stored on the Frontier network.
