According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights, the Spectrum Vision Partners data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On December 4, 2023, the company detected a possible data security incident affecting the company’s computer network prompting them to secure their systems and launch an investigation. It was confirmed that an unauthorized party accessed its computer system between September 22, 2023 and December 21, 2023. The hackers accessed and potentially acquired confidential information belonging to certain patients. On February 2, 2024, Spectrum Vision Partners sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
