According to the Attorney General of Montana, the Numotion data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cybersecurity incident. Numotion detected a cyberattack on its systems on March 2, 2024. The company, which had unauthorized access to its network from February 29 to March 2, 2024, engaged cybersecurity experts for investigation. Sensitive data, including names, birth dates, Social Security numbers, and employment details, were potentially compromised. Numotion finalized its investigation by March 4 and sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach on April 15.
United Seating and Mobility, LLC does business as Numotion and is based in Brentwood, Tennessee. The company manufactures medical devices and offers a variety of products, including 
wheelchairs for adults and children, catheters, and speech aids. The company has over 2,800 employees and generates about $701 million in annual revenue.
