Data Breach AlertSeptember 12 – The Caesars Entertainment (“Caesars”) data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C. are investigating the data breach resulting from a ransomware attack targeting the company. It is currently unknown if the Caesars data breach impacted personal identifiable information (“PII”), but Caesars is expected to make a public statement soon.

What Happened As A Result Of The Caesars Entertainment Data Breach?

According to news articles on Tech Crunch and The Bharat Express has stated that Caesars Entertainment has suffered a ransomware attack and paid millions. The ransomware group in question is known as Scattered Spider, or UNC 3944. It is not known when the attack ended, but sources say that they began as early as August 27th. Caesars Entertainment reportedly paid tens of millions of dollars to hackers who broke into their computer network and threatened to release data stored on the company’s computer network. Caesars has not yet publicly acknowledged the breach or sent out notifications. However, if they do, they will be required to send out data breach letters to those individuals who were affected.
