Dear [Redacted],

The protection and privacy of your personal information is one of our highest priorities. Because of this, we are writing to make you aware of a recent data security incident that may have involved some of your information.

While we have no reason to believe that your personal information has been misused for the purpose of committing fraud or identity theft, we are writing to advise you about the incident and to provide you with guidance on what you can do to protect yourself, should you feel it is appropriate to do so.

What Happened?

We recently learned that an employee email account was temporarily accessed without authorization. Upon detection, we promptly contained the incident by securing the account to prevent further access. We also engaged a leading forensic firm to determine the scope of the incident and confirm the security of our systems. This investigation determined that the third party accessed the email account at various times between December 20, 2021 and April 22, 2022.

What Information Was Involved?

We believe that the third party was using the account access to try and commit wire fraud against the company by attempting to redirect vendor payments to new bank coordinates. These attempts failed. We do not know if any personal information was ever actually viewed or acquired. Nevertheless, we analyzed the contents of the account for any personal information, and on May 24, 2022, we determined that the email account could have contained some of your personal information, including your name, address, and Social Security or tax identification number.

What We Are Doing.

We have identified and taken steps to correct the technical issue described above. We are also offering a complimentary two-year membership of Experian IdentityWorks Credit 3B.
