June 17, 2022 – Guardian Fueling Technologies, LLC reported a data breach after the company was targeted in a recent cybersecurity attack. As a result of the breach, the your name, address, date of birth, Social Security number, and/or driver’s license number (if provided) of certain individuals were compromised. At this time, it is unknown the number of individuals affected by the Guardian Fueling Technologies data breach. On June 16, 2022, Guardian Fueling Technologies sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.

Guardian Fueling Technologies, LLC (“Guardian Fueling”) is writing to make you aware of an incident that may affect the security of some of your information. While we are not aware of any actual or attempted misuse of your information, we are providing you with an overview of the incident, our ongoing response, and resources available to you right now to help protect your information, should you feel it is appropriate to do so.
What Happened?
On April 20, 2022, Guardian Fueling became aware of suspicious activity within our network. We immediately took steps to secure the environment, restore operations, and launched an investigation with third-party forensic specialists to determine the nature and scope of the activity. On May 19, 2022, we determined that certain files and folders may have been impacted by an unknown individual. Guardian Fueling is notifying you of this incident because some of your information may have been impacted.
What Information Was Involved?
The potentially impacted information may have contained your name, address, date of birth, Social Security number, and/or driver’s license number (if provided). Although we have no evidence to indicate that any information was subject to actual or attempted misuse, we are providing you with this notice out of an abundance of caution.
What We Are Doing.
The confidentiality, privacy, and security of your information in our care is one of our highest priorities. When we discovered this incident, we immediately worked to secure our systems, and began an investigation to determine what data might be at risk. Guardian Fueling conducted a review of its policies and procedures and enhanced existing security measures to further protect the security of information in our possession. We reported this incident to law enforcement and are notifying potentially impacted individuals, including you, so that you may take steps to best protect your information, should you feel it is appropriate to do so. As an added precaution, we are offering you immediate access to credit monitoring and identity theft protection services for 24 months at no cost to you, through Experian IdentityWorks. You can find information on how to enroll in these services in the below “Steps You Can Take to Help Better Protect Personal Information.” We encourage you to enroll in these services as we are not able to do so on your behalf.
What You Can Do.
We encourage you to remain vigilant against incidents of identity theft and fraud by reviewing your account statements and monitoring your free credit reports for suspicious activity and to detect errors over the next 12 to 24 month. Please also review the information contained in the enclosed “Steps You Can Take to Help Better Protect Personal Information.”
