Data Breach Alert: Norton Healthcare

May 24 – The data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C. are investigating a data breach reported by Norton Healthcare on May 19, 2023.

What Happened and What Information Was Involved?

Norton Healthcare posted a notice on their website reporting a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack.

At this time, it is unclear what information was stolen by hackers during the breach. It seems the company is still in the middle of their investigation; however, they will be required to provide data breach notification letters to all affected parties if patient information was in fact leaked.

On May 23, 2023, Norton’s notice posted on their website describing the cyber security incident suddenly became unavailable for an unknown reason. However, based on the company’s description of the event, it is possible that the company is involved in negotiations with the hackers.

According to an article posted on DataBreaches.net, no ransomware group has taken responsibility for the attack as yet.
