March 3, 2022 – Recently, Touchstone Medical Imaging, LLC (“Touchstone”) experienced what appears to be a data breach stemming from a system outage. According to a recent news report, towards the end of 2021, patients of Touchstone Medical Imaging who showed up for their appointments were told that the company’s “system was down.” Staff evidently also told patients that their appointments would be canceled. However, more recently, Touchstone filed notice of a data breach with the Attorney General of Texas, indicating that the information of as many as 46,779 Texas was compromised.

On or around February 22, 2022, Touchstone Medical Imaging began sending out data breach notification letters to all individuals whose information was contained in the affected files.

Touchstone Medical Imaging is a provider of diagnostic imaging services based in Plano, TX. However, the company also provides imaging services for patients in Colorado, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Florida and Arkansas. Touchstone Medical Imaging provides the following services: MRIs, CT scans, PET/CT exams, Ultrasounds, women’s imaging, x-rays, arthrograms and myelograms.

Once a credit freeze is in place, you can temporarily lift the freeze if you need to apply for any type of credit.
5. Regularly Monitor Your Credit Report and Financial Accounts: Protecting yourself in the wake of a data breach is not a one-time task. You should continually monitor your credit report and all financial accounts, keeping an eye out for any signs of unauthorized activity or fraud. You may also consider calling your banks and credit card companies to report the fact that your information was compromised in a data breach.
