August 16 – The EP Global Production Solutions, LLC (“Entertainment Partners”) data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Entertainment Partners data breach resulted in the names, Social Security numbers and addresses of certain individuals being compromised. It is believed to have impacted as many as 471,000 individuals.
According to the Attorney General of Maine, Entertainment Partners reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On June 30, 2023, Entertainment Partners identified suspicious activity within a portion of its computer network. The company took the affected systems offline, and launched an investigation. The Entertainment Partners investigation confirmed that hackers were able to bypass the company’s data security system, gaining access to certain files containing confidential consumer data. The company’s investigation also determined that the hackers downloaded the confidential data. On August 2, 2023, Entertainment Partners sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
