January 22 – The data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the LoanDepot data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The LoanDepot data breach may have resulted in the sensitive information of certain individuals being compromised.

What Happened?

LoanDepot filed a notice of data breach with the Securities and Exchange Commission after discovering that a cyberattack enabled hackers to access the company’s IT network. In this notice, Loan Depot explains that the incident resulted in an unauthorized party being able to access consumers’ sensitive information. Upon completing its investigation, Loan Depot began sending out data breach notification letters to all individuals whose information was affected by the recent data security incident.
