November 3 – The MasTec data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was affected by a recent cyber security attack at Delta Dental. The MasTec data breach resulted in the names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, genders, member contact information, member IDs, eligibility dates, and provider information of certain individuals being compromised.
According to the Attorney General of Montana, MasTec reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On July 21, 2023, MasTec learned that Delta Dental, a vendor to the “Care Opt Plus Group Benefits Plan For Hourly & Salaried Employees,” experienced a MOVEit-related data breach. MasTec launched an investigation that determined that certain files in Delta Dental’s MOVEit server were accessed by an unauthorized party between May 27, 2023 and May 30, 2023. MasTec later learned that some of the files that were accessible to the unauthorized party 
contained confidential information belonging to some plan members. On October 27, 2023, MasTec sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
